Biolan 550 has been designed for use by schools, housing corporations, hospitals, restaurants, pubs, hotels and commercial catering companies with a higher volume of food preparation and food scrap waste. This all year round usage composter represents the most advanced technique for the treatment of commercial kitchen waste. Its capacity is adequate for businesses, small groups and communities up to 10 - 12 properties. The extremely compact and hard wearing structure, patented air conditioning system ( which supplies air through pipes directly to the middle of the compost mass ) and its thick polyurethane insulation, maintain the composting process even during winter months! The lid of the composter has been designed so that the condensed humidity and the nutrients return to the compost, maintaining the optimum moisture content for composting.

A thermometer on the front of the composter makes monitoring your composting a simple process with an adjustable air vent to regulate the ' cooking ' process.

The large access hatch located in the base of the composter allows removal of the mature compost without disturbing the newer composting mass above.
